Abandoned projects
Instead of just 'throwing' all of the work put into the development of abandoned projects in the bin, I've decided to start sharing some information about them - Rather working free of charge, giving away to the benefit of the community.
I´ll begin with 3 truss related projects, which all besides being more than a year old, all have one thing in common - the client never payed the invoice or went bankrupt during the development of the product.
Load monitoring of a stage-roof
Increasing safety by adding continuous measurement of load and movement, at the base of each tower supporting a stage roof or any structure supported by truss columns e.g. goal post, etc.
Each column is equipped with a kit of custom load-sensors, delivering measurements to a central pc logging every stream and enabling visual monitoring of the collected data in real time.
The project was abandoned during the initial testing of a custom-build prototype.
Scalable Truss Tent System
A scalable tent system based on the use of a generic truss brand/ type connected by a simple hinge system, supporting a pvc canvas, enabling higher suspended live loads than conventual tent structures.
Abandoned during the final-steps of ordering a live-sized mock-up.
Truss hanging bracket
A bracket enabling the insertion, and support of post-installed sections of 2-chord/ladder truss, between already hung parallel trusses.
The bracket features a simple locking mechanism to eliminate the risk of the inserted truss accidentally getting "un-hung".
The project never left the drawing board and was abandoned early 2017.
