Location based NDPs

Location based NDPs

After a lot of consideration I've decided to share some of the tools, I develop and use to maintain a standardized and efficient design practice.

The first release is a handy webservice www.ndp.dk that helps you to determine the location based NDPs of the Danish National Annexes to the Eurocode in a concise and transparent way.

Eurocode, Annexes' and NDPs (TLDR)

The Eurocode is a set of harmonized technical rules for the design of structures, but it allows for some national variations depending on the local conditions and preferences. These variations are called Nationally Determined Parameters (NDPs) and they are specified in the National Annexes.

NDPs are values or choices that each country can decide for themselves, such as the design life of a structure, the material properties, the load combinations, or the safety factors. NDPs reflect the local conditions and preferences of each country and they can have a significant impact on the design outcome.

What can I use it for?

The tool provides a clear and consistent way to find the NDPs based on the location, eliminating the tedious and unprecise guessing.

All you have to do is enter the address of your project site and the webservice will give you the relevant location based NDPs.

You can download the results as images for your reports, print it, or download a PDF with all the details.

The webservice currently provides the fundamental value of the fundamental value of the Basic Wind Velocity, used to calculate wind load actions, and the value of the Ground Acceleration, for the application of the simplified rules for calculating the horizontal seismic action.

How to get started?

To use the webservice and the generated content for commercially and non-commercially purposes, you must give appropriate credit, provide a link to the site, and indicate if changes were made.

To access the webservice, simply visit www.ndp.dk and fill in your project address.
